St. Michael’s Hospital is a progressive rural hospital with 25 acute care beds, swing beds and an attached nine-bed nursing home.  St. Michael’s Hospital is affiliated with Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD and Avera Health.  The Avera Health network is a regional family of more than 100 healthcare facilities in the five-state region of Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and North Dakota.  Bon Homme Family Practice Clinic consists of rural health clinics located in Tyndall and Avon.  St. Michael’s Hospital provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services such as home health, foot clinic, hospice, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab, diabetes education, cataracts and radiology.  Outreach services are also available from area specialists.

Tyndall is home to more than 80 businesses, small industry and services, the Bon Homme School District, 5 churches and a volunteer fire department.  Area historic attractions include Bon Homme County Courthouse, Tyndall City Library, Bon Homme Heritage Museum, Tyndall Veterans Memorial Park and the Eiffel Tower Replica.
