The Division of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is seeking a physician board certified in Pediatrics and Allergy and Immunology, to join our team. Academic appointments are through the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine. The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide clinical care and coverage for pediatric allergy/immunology patients at the Children’s Mercy Wichita location. There would be limited opportunity to teach fellows, residents, and medical students. Our clinical team is comprised of ten physicians, four fellows-in-training, three nurse practitioners, and a large ancillary staff who provide high-quality care to our patients, offer excellent education to our residents and fellows, and advance our understanding of allergic and immunologic disorders through research.
The Division fosters a collaborative research environment characterized by projects that span multiple subspecialties and range in scope from basic to clinical and applied research. Members of our faculty possess a broad range of expertise from basic immunology to clinical trials and epidemiology and are recipients of extramural research funding from the NIH, the EPA, and HUD. The section also has an active clinical pharmacology research program and participates in industry sponsored clinical trials from Phase I through Phase IV.
