Job Description

The Department of Medicine at Albany Medical College is seeking an Infectious Disease physician for our HIV service line. The successful candidate will be board certified and eligible for appointment at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level.

The HIV service line currently encompasses an inpatient consultation service; two ambulatory sites managing roughly 1600 people; service grants exceeding $3.5 million dollars; an HIV-HCV co-infection program; as well as clinical and basic science research.  It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be an active clinician with experience in clinical administration and grants management.

Albany Medical College is one of the nation’s oldest medical schools, having been founded in 1837, and is affiliated with the Stratton VA Medical Center. Albany Medical Center Hospital is the only academic tertiary and quaternary care hospital in the Capital District region of New York, serving a referral base of 2.5 million people. The Medical Center has recently completed construction of a new 160-bed patient tower, now totaling over 700 hospital beds.
