Cardiothoracic Imaging Radiologist - M60207

The Department of Radiology at Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia Campus is currently seeking applicants for a faculty position in the Section of Cardiothoracic Imaging. This section is an active, well-established clinical and academic service responsible for all aspects of cardiothoracic imaging including conventional chest radiography, chest CT, HRCT, CTA, lung cancer screening, and cardiac CTA and cardiovascular MR in an 822 bed Level 1 Trauma Center. The applicant would join five other cardiothoracic radiologists.

Special interest or skill in thoracic acute care imaging, trauma, oncology, cardiology, transplantation, mechanical ventricular assist devices, and infectious and occupational lung diseases is preferred. Established professional relationships with cardiothoracic surgery and pulmonary critical care medicine foster interdisciplinary research between departments. 

ABR certification or documentation of passing the Core Component of the ABR Board examination, cardiothoracic imaging fellowship training and an interest in teaching and research are required. The applicant must demonstrate experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU. Candidate must be eligible for a Virginia medical license and for permanent employment in the USA. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
