Physician - Family Medicine (Easton, Pennsylvania)
Position: Physician - Family Medicine (Easton, Pennsylvania)
Duties: The Family Medicine Physician will provide clinical services and medical care for newborns, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. The scope of a family practitioner includes serving as primary care provider for all ages, sexes, each organ system, and every disease entity. Will integrate biological, clinical, and behavioral sciences in evaluating patients during routine health maintenance exams, and when illness occurs. Will apply clinical knowledge to conducting wellness exams, administering vaccinations and providing early diagnosis of illness. Will diagnose and treat patient’s conditions, from simple ear or sinus infections to chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Will serve as patient advocate in health-related matters, including the appropriate use of specialist consultations, health services, and community resources. Will be responsible for providing continuing and comprehensive healthcare of individuals and families who are both out-patients and admitted patients to Steward Easton Hospital. Will have admitting privileges to Steward Easton Hospital, Inc. and will work at Steward Family Medicine office at 1800 Sullivan Trail, Easton, Pennsylvania 18040.
Number of Reports: Will direct and coordinate activities of up to 2 Medical Assistance on a regular basis.
Requirements: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Specific skills/other requirements:
Completion of a three-year Residency Program in Family Medicine;
License to practice medicine in the State of Pennsylvania, or eligibility for licensure; and,
American Board Certification in Family Medicine, or Board eligible.
