Care Division Medical Director Needed

Cone Health is looking for a strong, visionary physician leader to help manage and operationalize Urgent Care strategy, and to help lead urgent care service delivery as well as the urgent care providers. This is a full-time position (0.75 FTE – 1.0 FTE flexible) with nearly 50/50 time allocation to both clinic and administrative responsibilities.

In support of our organizational purpose of connecting health care and well-being, urgent care services is essential to driving value for our patients, our health network, and our communities. We must continue our trajectory in developing a thriving urgent care network that provides ready access to seamless, integrated care for the wide variety of patients’ acute and on-demand care needs.

To achieve urgent care service goals, this leader will direct and develop provider clinical services and design, manage, and coordinate clinical care delivery. It is essential that this leader recruit high-quality, aligned providers and partner with them in accountability to provide high-quality, cost-effective, and appropriate care. Providers are integral to providing an exceptional patient experience. This leader will collaborate with administrative and clinical team leaders as well as other care divisions, service lines and stakeholders to build a market-leading, next-generation community model, fully patient-centered program for the urgent care division. Other priorities include:

•Physician and APP mentorship, clinical and leadership development
•Staffing models applicable to various acute care delivery models
•Continuum of Care and Population Health
•Geographic expansion
•Clinical integration
•Management infrastructure
