Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center was founded in the market over 70 years ago.  In 2011 a completely new state of the art hospital was constructed.  Encompassing 45 acres as the largest building project in the history of Lafayette.

    • 189 bed, main campus featuring a 24 bed Closed ICU, 28 bed Intermediate Care Unit;
    • 36 bed Heart campus;
    • 150 Women's and Children's campus with a soon to be developed 7 bed ICU

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center

Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center employs more than 2,200 people and offers a physician staff of over 500 doctors in a variety of medical and surgical specialties. Lourdes’ services include Centers of Excellence in the areas of Orthopedics, Stroke and a Robotics Surgery Program. The hospital is home to the only burn unit in Southwest Louisiana and a Commission on Cancer accredited oncology program. Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital, a premier 32-bed cardiac facility and recently acquired Women’s & Children’s Hospital offering the area’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level 3 Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. With additional services including multiple clinics, four imaging locations and a primary care physician network, Lourdes provides easy access to comprehensive care throughout the community.

Lourdes Physician Group is a subsidiary of the hospital, employing our multi-specialty providers. We are up to nearly 160 providers within the Acadiana market including Adult Specialty, Pediatric Specialty, Hospitalist team, and Adult + Pediatric Primary Care. There is high comradery amongst our providers. It a very collegial, supportive atmosphere - not only amongst providers, but administration as well.
