Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, located in Birmingham, Alabama, is actively seeking a passionate Infectious Disease Physician to join an established group with an excellent reputation in the medical community with the goal of providing much needed coverage at the hospital. This is an outstanding opportunity for a practicing physician or a new graduate, as there is ample community need, as well as the ability to quickly establish oneself in a warm, southern location, at a beautiful and rapidly-growing hospital with a collegial and extremely attentive medical staff.

Position details: 

  • Eight bed infusion center available in the clinic; Two CRNPs in the clinic
  • Majority inpatient work: 70-75% inpatient, 30-25% outpatient follow-up in clinic
  • The majority of the week is spent in the hospital: each physician in the group only spends one day per week in the clinic following up on patients
  • Full-time, traditional clinic hours
  • Call shared with three other members of the group
  • Partnership track available for the right candidate
  • Brookwood uses Cerner EMR
