Physician – Geriatric Medicine  

The University of Kansas Health System, Division of Geriatric Medicine, is seeking a faculty member to join its expanding team to support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care, as well as satisfying teaching, research, and academic responsibilities at the region's quaternary referral center. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine 
  • Geriatric Fellowship 

About the Job: 

  • Provide medical care for Internal Medicine patients. Provide consultative services for patients cared for by other faculty members at KUMC. 
  • Serve in a clinician educator role with responsibility for teaching Geriatrics Fellows, Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residents and medical students in clinical settings. 
  • You will be scheduled as a part of our geriatric team 40 hours per week, and you will be assigned to sessions in our outpatient clinics as well as coverage in the Skilled Nursing Facilities. 
  • Participate in regular educational and administrative conferences as directed by immediate supervisor, including participation on subcommittees relevant to area of practice or education. 
  • Engage and collaborate with faculty and interdisciplinary professionals to implement an Age Friendly Health System Initiative and participate as a member of the Landon Center on Aging, which supports community engagement, education, research, and clinical care. 
  • Contribute to various educational and clinical initiatives related to specific areas of interest and expertise.
