Duke Pediatric Anesthesiology Seeking Full-time Faculty Member

The Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology in the Duke Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a full time faculty member.  Ideal candidates will be BE/BC in Anesthesiology and be ACGME fellowship trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology.  Candidates should also have a robust academic career with a strong commitment to education of trainees and be involved on a national level as evidenced by activity with national societies and lecturing commitments at regional/national meetings.  Turnover in the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology is rare and this a unique opportunity for the right individual who can provide an additional research focus in their area of interest.

Our faculty provide anesthesia to 8,000 children per year at Duke Children’s pediatric and family friendly environment of a children’s hospital within an adult hospital. We provide coverage in the pediatric operating rooms (including solid organ transplant), procedure suites, radiology and the eye center.  The Division’s focus is to promote a constant interplay between research activities, educational endeavors and pediatric clinical practice with the goal of identifying clinically relevant questions that ultimately benefit care of the child in the perioperative environment and enrich the educational experience of the next generation of pediatric anesthesiologists.
