Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital seeks a highly skilled and compassionate physician to join an established Palliative Care Team at the Royal Oak campus, approximately 30 minutes outside Detroit. This large academic medical center with more than one thousand inpatient beds serves as a tertiary referral center for the geographical area and has received numerous awards for quality care.
The existing Palliative Care team consists of three physicians and three NPs, and it has dedicated social worker and chaplain support. The team follows a consultative model, mainly caring for inpatients, and it received The Joint Commission Advanced Certification in Palliative Care in 2014-2020. The interdisciplinary team is committed to providing exceptional patient and family centered care, educating trainees, staff and the community, and maintaining a supportive and collaborative practice environment. Physicians joining the Palliative Care Team will also be appointed to the faculty of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
Applicants must be board eligible/certified in their primary specialty and fellowship trained in Palliative Medicine.
