Thoracic Surgeon Opportunity Dallas, Texas

The Department of Thoracic Surgery and Lung Transplantation at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas is seeking to add a new partner at the entry level. Baylor University Medical Center is the flagship hospital of the Baylor Scott and White Healthcare System, the largest not-for profit healthcare system in Texas.

The department is committed to providing world-class thoracic surgical care. Case volumes have grown steadily and the case mix includes high volumes of esophageal surgery, resections for lung cancer, airway surgery, respiratory ECMO and lung transplantation. Since its inception as a department in 2014, thoracic case volumes have increased from 280 to over 1300 cases per year.

The department is seeking a highly motivated general thoracic surgeon with a strong worth ethic and excellent interpersonal skills to continue to support the growth of the program. The applicant should have superior training in general thoracic surgery, with significant experience in lung transplantation.
