Adjacent to the Avera Medical Group - Miller clinic is the Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital.  The health care campus is currently upgraded, including a new patient service wing, a newly remodeled clinic service wing, and a newly remodeled community services wing.  Services offered on the campus include laboratory, radiology, respiratory, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, home health, hospice, DME, assisted living, ambulance as well as numerous other services.  Physician outreach services include audiology, cardiology, ENT, general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics and urology.  Also, the variety of eCare services continues to grow, including ePharmacy, eER, eICU and eConsult which also offers disease specialists, allergy and dermatology services.   The clinic is implementing a fully functional EMR during 2011, the hospital in 2012.

Miller is located in central South Dakota and boasts a healthy and diverse main street of businesses.  The economic base of the community is largely agricultural; however a strong economic development office has recently introduced DataTrak Consulting - a medical records company, a soy bean processing plant, a wind turbine farm, a rail loop, and is strongly pursuing several other developments.
