Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia (BHMC-A), in conjunction with the Arkadelphia Women’s Clinic, is seeking a BE/BC OBGYN to join the practice. The need to recruit to this two physician practice is to replace one physician who relocated to another state this year.

Arkadelphia Women’s Clinic serves patients in a 15 county region of southwest AR. The senior physician in the group has been practicing in Arkadelphia for over 38 years and has cared for over 30,000 patients in his practice.

The clinic is located adjacent to BHMC-A and the hours are Monday-Thursday  8-4:30 and Friday 8-4. Currently the two physicians deliver about 400 babies per year in the hospital and average about 10 surgeries each per month. The two physicians in the group share call with a rotation of 2 on 2 off during the week and every other weekend. The clinic and hospital both utilize Epic for the electronic medical record.

BHMC-A is a 25 bed hospital that has been serving southwest AR since 1981. They have recently updated the labor/delivery/recovery/postpartum rooms and there are pediatricians and hospitalists on staff. The Baptist Health flagship campus in Little Rock provides neonatology, maternal-fetal medicine, and high risk OB for any patients requiring this specialized care.

This opportunity is an employed position with Arkansas Health Group which is the employed physician group for Baptist Health. AHG employs over 500 providers across the majority of medical and surgical specialties.

Arkadelphia is located 60 miles southwest of Little Rock with a population of over 10,000. Arkadelphia is home to two universities: Henderson State and Ouachita Baptist. The town’s recreation opportunities are plentiful with local spots such as a 78-acre park with picnic areas, a pavilion, outdoor basketball courts, softball fields, the Arkadelphia Aquatic Park, and the Recreation Center.
