Family Medicine faculty opportunity in a well-established, community based 10-10-10 program

CoxHealth is announcing an opportunity for a family medicine physician to join the Family Medicine Residency Program as faculty. This is a well-established, community based 10-10-10 program at two clinic sites.

We are recruiting a full-time or part-time faculty member who is board certified and has a strong interest in teaching broad-scope family medicine.  Academic experience is preferred, but not required.

Situated in southwest Missouri, Springfield offers a dynamic setting for people who live and work here.

Cox Family Medicine Residency is an ambitious program that combines intellectual, academic excellence with the "real-world" experience of a community hospital. Established in 1987, we have developed a unique, engaging and exciting foundation for family medicine education. Our clinic is recognized as an NCQA Level III Patient-Centered Medical Home.

Cox Family Medicine Residency was founded to prepare residents for full scope family medicine. All of our residents gain substantial experience in maternity care, with many of our graduates performing Cesarean sections after they leave the program. We believe that residents trained in full-scope family medicine will have the diverse skills necessary to thrive in any practice setting.

Our experience and skill with the electronic medical record, in use since 1996, has allowed us to increase the quality of care for our patients through disease management and patient-centered education. In addition, we have an affiliation agreement with the University of Missouri - Columbia that provides us with access to academic and scholarly support.
