OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Obstetrician to join an established OB hospitalist group located in Boise, Idaho.

The Saint Alphonsus OB Hospitalist program (4.5 FTE, 6 providers) has been in place since 2009. Our hospital is a regional referral center with a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the region's only ACS verified Level II Trauma Center. Additionally, the OB hospitalists have the privilege of caring for women who receive care at the Center for Global Health & Healing which was created to meet the needs of women resettled within the community through the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement program.

At the Saint Alphonsus Family Maternity Center, we devote extra attention to making sure that the birth of a baby is a personal experience. We offer parents a wide array of choices with a full range of services by mother-baby experts to make sure families get the care, pampering and keepsake moments they've dreamed about—not to mention our private, soothing, and luxurious accommodations. Our goal is to provide an excellent labor and delivery experience close to home.

Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides the highest level of care possible for infants. The NICU, which provides 24-hour, full-service specialty care, allows families from Boise and the surrounding areas in Idaho and eastern Oregon to receive expert treatment close to home. The NICU's team approach provides an atmosphere for parents and our expert staff to work together to achieve outcomes that exceed national benchmarks. Through special programs developed by the neonatologists and NICU staff, the Saint Alphonsus NICU length-of-stay, and complication rates are significantly lower than the national average. To learn more about NICU services at Saint Alphonsus, visit: http://www.saintalphonsus.org/nicu.

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) opportunity. The selected candidate can expect to work 162 12-hour shifts per year which may include double shifts (24-hour shifts) if desired or dictated by scheduling needs.

Requirements for this opportunity include an individual with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency; Board Certification (or obtain such certification within three years of employment); Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC – Boise.

The group is seeking an individual with strong team collaboration, leadership, willingness to develop and adhere to protocols, and strong surgical and OB sonography skills. This is an exciting opportunity for the right Obstetrician to be part of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and Saint Alphonsus Medical Group.
