The Division of Hypertension and Kidney Diseases of is looking a board certified/board eligible nephrologist with an interest in procedural or interventional nephology to join our group of academic nephrologists. 

 The successful applicant will join our Division as a full-time clinician with teaching responsibilities and a focus on diagnostic and interventional nephrology. 

  • The position, a full-time clinical one on the clinician educator track, involves rounding on the inpatient services (consultation and dialysis), working with renal fellows, internal medicine residents and medical students. The successful applicant will work with nephrology trainees to improve acute dialysis catheter insertion and transplant and native renal biopsies and provide training in diagnostic and point of care ultrasound.
  • The candidate may work with our vascular access surgeons on the inpatient services.
  • In the outpatient area, time and responsibilities may include work at a stand-alone facility dedicated to rapid and quality attention to outpatient dialysis vascular access.
  • We serve a diverse patient population ranging from all over Southern New England, including patients from underserved areas. We serve uninsured and underinsured patients as part of our mission.
  • The clinician educator track includes opportunities to teach at the renal pathophysiology course as a lecturer and small group leader. Faculty on the clinician educator  track engage in additional scholarly opportunities in medical education as well as their own research and publication efforts.
