University of Minnesota Physicians, the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PACCS) is seeking a Sleep Medicine Physician to join the Sleep Medicine practice based primarily in Minneapolis. M Health Fairview has multiple Sleep Center locations located throughout the Twin Cities including: Burnsville, Brooklyn Park, Edina, Minneapolis, Maplewood and Princeton.
The ideal candidate will have training in pulmonary medicine. Work with a collegial group of sleep medicine providers that offer comprehensive and innovative care for adults with unusual sleep behaviors or sleep disorders.
Provide clinic-based adult outpatient care, covering 2 sites, with current need in Minneapolis and one other location to be determined.
Work in collaboration with physicians, advance practice providers (1 APP at each location) and other medical staff to provide comprehensive sleep health services for M Health Fairview Sleep Medicine patients.
The Physician engages in independent decision making about health care needs and provides health care services to individuals.
The Provider obtains patient histories, performs physical and psychological health assessments, provides patient and family education and counseling, ensures continuity of health care services, and manages complex, acute and chronic disease conditions.
Treat sleep problems including: insomnia, narcolepsy, sleep apnea, snoring, restless legs syndrome, REM sleep disorder and other conditions.
Will treat adult patients and an interest in pediatrics is helpful.
Sleep studies are conducted in the sleep lab and at home.
Onsite diagnostic services include lab and extensive imaging.
Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
This is a full time position.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm with some flexibility.
Graduate of an accredited ACGME residency and Sleep Medicine fellowship training program.
Board eligible/certified in Sleep Medicine.
Licensed or ability to obtain medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.?
