Chief, Advanced Cardiac Imaging

Memorial Healthcare System, one of the largest public healthcare systems in the United States, is seeking a Chief of Advanced Cardiac Imaging to join an established and thriving hospital-based adult cardiac imaging program. Qualified candidates must be Board Certified in cardiovascular disease as well as advanced cardiac imaging. The Chief will provide leadership and oversight of all operational and programmatic aspects of advanced cardiac imaging, including cardiovascular CT, MRI, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. All candidates must have a minimum five (5) years of leadership experience in a hospital-based adult cardiac imaging program. The Chief will be actively involved in Graduate Medical Education and should have the desire to teach residents and fellows. The program also participates in numerous national multi-center research trials.

This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

About the Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute

In addition to a large general cardiology practice, the Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute includes all relevant sub-specialties including electrophysiology, preventative and interventional cardiology, vascular, congenital heart disease, imaging and genetics.  The cardiothoracic surgical program has also earned and maintained the distinguished three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a 232-bed freestanding facility and part of the Memorial Healthcare System, has an established and highly recognized pediatric heart transplant program. The MCVI performed the first adult heart transplant in Broward County and has an active VAD and Adult Heart Transplant program since 2014. Memorial has the first accredited adult congenital heart program in the State of Florida and is the only ELSO Gold designated ECMO program in South Florida.
