The Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute, a program of Lifespan Physician Group (LPG): Rhode Island Hospital & The Miriam Hospital, affiliated hospitals of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University have an opening for a non-invasive cardiologist specializing in general cardiology, echocardiography or critical care.  Our Cardiologists are part of an academic medical center program, with opportunities for Brown University Clinical Faculty appointment.
  
About the Job:

  • Join a team of 40 cardiologists (all Cardiovascular sub-specialties) and 30 advanced practice providers
  • Teaching opportunity as faculty on the hospital teaching services and Cardiology Fellowship
  • New clinical leadership which is building a team environment
  • The practice has a robust waiting list
  • Weekend call 1:5
  • Night call is 1:15 (light from home)
  • Strong team of dedicated support staff including APPs, RNs, Medical Assistants, and Secretaries.
  • Time is split between cardiac noninvasive testing, outpatient office and inpatient cardiac consultative services
  • Potential for an academic appointment to Brown University
  • Potential for participation in research and quality improvement initiatives

 About You:

  • Board certified or eligible in Cardiology
  • Fellowship training in cardiac imaging
  • Strong Echocardiography and TEE skills, may include structural interventions
  • Clinical experience in 3-D Echo
  • Interest in Quality Improvement preferred but not required
  • A track record of excellence in teaching and patient care in an environment that fosters diversity and inclusion.
