We are seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a newly established Orthopedic Trauma Service at a 547 bed, County, not-for-profit hospital.

There is opportunity for bonus based on RVU benchmarking.

  • Our newly established Orthopedic Trauma Service complements an established line of trauma services, including general surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and microvascular soft tissue reconstructive surgery. This complete service line provides the highest quality of care, serving Southern Mississippi.
  • Forrest General Hospital is level 2, regional referral, trauma center that serves a 19 county area with a population of over 600,000. This area is served by a regional air ambulance service that covers Southern Mississippi.
  • The current Orthopaedic Trauma Service is manned by 2 Fellowship trained Orthopedic trauma surgeons and 2 Physician Assistants.
  • There is a dedicated orthopaedic trauma room every day with additional opportunity for elective cases. Perioperative patient care is accomplished with the assistance of a dedicated hospitalist service for the Orthopaedic Trauma Service which manages and meets all non-trauma/non-surgical needs of the patients.
