Saint Peter’s University Hospital is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology clinician to see patients in the outpatient setting and educate Medical Students. The outpatient practice offers Obstetrics and Gynecologic services and is located at the Family Health Center on How Lane in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Obstetrician-Gynecologist Job Responsibilities:
- Provides outpatient Obstetrics and Gynecology services throughout assigned practice locations 4 days a week with no on-call responsibilities.
- Participates in Clinical Outcomes Program and work towards meeting organizational targets for all metrics.
- Maintains the required productivity expectations for time spent in practice.
- Participates in administrative duties, including lab reports, charts, and medication refills reviewed and managed appropriately.
- Follows medical practice policies and procedures, including attending all mandatory meetings, minimizing incident reports, using resources efficiently, and practicing medicine in a cost-effective manner.
- Completes all required documentation accurately, timely, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards and to comply with electronic medical record requirements, including medication reconciliation, finalizing notes, clearing out personal pool, and participating in practice pool.
- Works collaboratively with Advanced Practice Nurses (APN’s) and Midwives in the Family Health Clinic-Performs and maintains biannual chart reviews for the APN’s and Midwives
Obstetric and Gynecologic-Medical Student Instructor Responsibilities
- Manages the education of Medical Students rotating thought the Obstetrics and Gynecology Service
- Develops and maintains up to date educational curriculum for Ob/Gyn Medical Student rotation
- Monitors the learning areas within which Medical Students rotate-both inpatient and outpatient
- Works collaboratively with the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Director and Designated Institutional Office to maintain the required educational standards in teaching the medical students
- Actively participates in the training and education for medical students via didactics, simulations, and mentoring
- Participates actively in the education of Ob/Gyn medical students 1 day a week
Work Hours
- A total of fifty hours per week (One day=10 hours) divided into Clinical and Medical Student Responsibilities-No on call responsibilities
- Outpatient practice responsibilities 4 days a week
- Medical Student Education 1 day a week

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of New Jersey
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Minimum two years of practice experience in the direct delivery of primary/outpatient Ob/Gyn care
- FQHC or HIS clinic setting experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certificate required
- Current DEA certificate
- Current CDS certificate
