Practice Overview:

Located on the main campus of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC), Laurelwood (54 beds) provides a broad range of services for adolescents and adults experiencing mental health or substance abuse problems. Laurelwood offers a variety of treatment options including: detoxification, inpatient treatment, day partial treatment, intensive outpatient treatment and aftercare support.

•           Full-time hospital-based position
•           Responsible for psychiatric hospital based needs; including ED and floor.
•           Tele-Psych support for two smaller, system hospitals
•           Schedule - 7on/7off
•           ECT and TMS coming soon.
•           Follow inpatient hospital consults.
•           Admit identified Psychiatric patients to Laurelwood through "In-Take" area of ED.
•           ED volume – 120,000 visits per year
•           Behavior Health Access Center next to the ED sees 1,000 patients per month.
•           EMR Platform - EPIC
