Penn Highlands Healthcare has an opportunity for a Regional Medical Director of Oncology

Penn Highlands Healthcare offers innovative hematology and oncology care with an integrated healthcare system that offers supportive services through a comprehensive breast service line, new GI lab, interventional radiology, PET/CT, cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, and The Lung Center – named a Center of Excellence with the Lung Cancer Alliance and UPMC Center of Excellence of Lung Cancer Screening.

Clinical Details:

  • Collaborative team that includes 4 hematology-oncology physicians and 7 advanced practice providers that deliver outstanding, multidisciplinary care to patients
  • Services include immunotherapy, management of solid tumors, chemotherapy, blood cancers
  • Support staff includes onsite RN supervisor and oncology certified or eligible RNs
  • Shared call coverage with physician group

Administrative Details: 

  • Previous Medical Director experience a must (5-10 years preferred)
  • Workload split 70-30 (clinical versus admin)
  • Board certified hematology/oncology
  • Medical Director will be expected to be on site at all locations at least monthly. All within a 30 minute drive from Penn Highlands Dubois.
