Nathan Littauer Hospital is recruiting for a BE/BC Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our practice at Nathan Littauer Hospital. Located in Gloversville, New York. The hospital is a modern 74-bed community facility with an associated 84-bed nursing home, 34 miles west of Saratoga, approximately a 40-minute drive. Albany International Airport is within an hour drive.

Saratoga Hospital is assisting Nathan Littauer Hospital to build a Non-Invasive Cardiology program.  Started in 2021, by Saratoga Hospital Medical Group – Cardiology, the program has already positioned itself as a comprehensive general cardiology practice with a strong focus on prevention and proactive cardiac care. The hospital has a strong primary care presence with a 12-location network of Primary Care practices that serve as a referral source for your practice. Our team includes two Advanced Practice Providers, one serving inpatient and one serving outpatients, with our office located on-site at the hospital, adjacent to our cardiac services.

Physicians who do not require visa sponsorship would be employed by Saratoga Hospital (call for compensation and benefit information) and may be able to work at both Nathan Littauer Hospital and Saratoga Hospital.

 Weekday Expectations

• Flexibility navigating inpatient and outpatient services
• Inpatient consults approximate average, a few patients daily, NP assigned to assist with rounds
• Outpatient service approximately 8 + patients daily, growing volume
• Interpretation services;  Echo, Exercise Stress test, Nuclear Stress test and Rhythm monitors
• Procedures; TEE/Cardioversion
• Implant/remove loop recorders is a plus but not a must
• Work with APPs and support staff, as needed, to answer questions
• Appropriate, timely documentation

Night Call 5p - 8a by phone (Monday through Thursday) 

Weekend Expectations

• Friday 5p - 8a Saturday coverage by phone
• Saturday  8a - 12p rounding independently
• After rounding Saturday, coverage by phone through Monday at 8 a.m.
• Remote EKG reading daily

Holiday coverage is by phone only.

Those who require a higher level of care, cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures—are treated at Saratoga Hospital or Albany Medical Center Hospital, as appropriate, and return to Nathan Littauer Cardiology for follow-up and non-invasive services. Saratoga Hospital Cardiology group remains committed to providing full support to the Gloversville cardiac community.

Gloversville was once the hub of the United States' glovemaking industry, with over two hundred manufacturers in Gloversville and the adjacent city of Johnstown. In 2020, Gloversville had a population of 15,131. The city of Gloversville is located 200 miles northwest of New York City. It is surrounded by smaller towns and villages, with outdoor activities year- round.
