The Department of Pediatrics invites applications for an academic primary care faculty position within the Division of Medicine-Pediatrics.

This faculty member would have an ambulatory primary care practice of adult and pediatric patients in an established office with other experienced clinicians, with options to pursue opportunities in clinical practice, education or research, and an opportunity to teach medical students and residents in the ambulatory setting.

Eligible candidates must hold an MD/DO degree and be board-certified or board eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

  • The Division of Medicine-Pediatrics is dedicated to providing excellent clinical care for infants, children, adolescents and adults, training the next generation of pediatricians and internal medicine physicians, advancing our knowledge for improved health of children and adults, and enhancing the health of the local community.
  • We offer comprehensive, state-of-the-art primary care services for patients of all ages, from infancy to adulthood. We provide routine preventative medicine and well care, acute and chronic disease management and are uniquely positioned to care for children with complex and chronic conditions.
  • Our goal is to ensure that health care services continue uninterrupted as our patients transition from infancy to adolescence to adulthood.
  • We work with a multidisciplinary team of nurse clinicians, social workers, lactation consultants, patient navigators, and on-site Spanish interpreters to provide care for our patients.
  • All of our physicians are members of the faculty at the Duke University School of Medicine and are board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics.
  • The faculty and staff in the Division of Medicine-Pediatrics constantly work to improve our health care knowledge in order to provide our patients with excellent, high-quality care.
