The United Health Services Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a board certified/eligible family physician for a full-time core faculty position with obstetrics. Join our dynamic and well-established team at a community hospital affiliated with Upstate Medical University, an academic medical center. Our residency was founded in 1971 and is a 9-9-9 resident program.

New graduates welcome to apply, mentoring available from experienced faculty with maternal child health fellowship training. The curriculum incorporates acupuncture and osteopathic opportunities for DO’s and MD’s.

Our mission is to develop highly competent and compassionate family physicians providing innovative evidence-based care to a historically marginalized and underrepresented patient population. We serve urban and rural communities in Upstate New York.

Teaching opportunities are available with the UHS Family Practice and Internal Medicine residents, Geriatrics and Sports Medicine fellows, transitional year students, as well as 3rd and 4th year medical students on rotation from Upstate Medical University.

About Wilson Medical Center

Wilson Medical Center is a 296-bed teaching hospital providing a full range of medical-surgical services, including cardiology, emergency medicine, neonatology, nephrology, maternity care, pediatrics, perinatology, pulmonary medicine, neuroscience, ophthalmology, and renal dialysis.

In addition to providing the traditional services typically found at a community hospital, Wilson Medical Center is the gateway to high-intensity acute care and high-technology diagnostics at United Health Services Hospitals. These services are available at the Decker Center for Advanced Medical Treatment, one of the newest United Health Services facilities.

Wilson is a regional referral center for the advanced practice of emergency medicine, neurosurgery and newborn intensive care. It also is the United Health Services site for the practice of open-heart surgery and other advanced cardiac procedures.
