Infectious Disease/Infection Prevention Physician

Atrium Health Northeast Infectious Disease is seeking a full-time physician experienced in Infection Prevention to provide inpatient and outpatient ID consultations, in person and via telehealth.

This position is 70% administrative and 30% clinical with the administrative work dedicated to Epidemiology and Infection Control. Provider will work with team of 2-3 MDs in the Greater Charlotte area. This position will oversee Epidemiology and Infection Prevention across the North market including Cabarrus, Lincoln, Stanly and University. Clinical time will be distributed across these facilities and include outpatient consultation and follow ups.

About the Position

  • Clinic schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Inpatient call average of 1:5
  • Weekend call shared amongst physicians
  • 1 half-day clinic per week
  • No supervision responsibilities

Qualified Candidates:

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Infectious Disease
  • 2 years’ experience with Infection Prevention
  • Will consider new grad with ID fellowship
  • Background in Epidemiology and/or Infection Prevention
