Chief of Gastroenterology

Denver Health Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief of Gastroenterology to join our team of 8 GI physicians and 3 advanced care providers at Denver Health Medical Center in downtown Denver, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive, plan and monitor the care being delivered within the division at an urban safety net institution
• Advance our mission of providing care to an urban underserved patient population
• Provide overall strategic leadership of the staff in tandem with their operations director
• Advance the culture of excellence and guide strategic planning efforts
• Participate in and provide direct clinical care to Denver Health patients

Qualifications:

• Current and emerging leaders are encouraged to apply
• Completion of a terminal medical degree and BC/BE in gastroenterology
• Ability to appointed at the rank of Associate Profess or Professor at the University of Colorado (appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor will be considered on a case by case bases for emerging leaders)

Facility Highlights:

• At our state of the art 300,000 square foot outpatient medical center opened in 2020 we perform 4,500 procedures annually, including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscospies
• Diagnostic and interventional procedures such as vibration controlled transient elastography, capsule endoscopy as well as advanced biliary and pancreatic endoscopy also performed
• Resident and training site for the university of Colorado School of Medicine
