HIRING GENERAL ONCOLOGISTS

A new state-of-the-art hospital just outside of Columbus that is partnered with the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) – The James is seeking a community-based hematologist oncologist. This opportunity includes building a medical oncology practice from the ground up with support from OSUCCC – The James to develop the practice model that meets your needs.  Employment is through the affiliated OSUP Community Outreach LLC.  This is a unique position for a BC/BE physician looking for a flexible hematology/oncology position.  Join a network of community oncologists affiliated with an NCI Designated Cancer Center.

Highlights of this position include:

  • Community environment but with the resources of an academic medical center
  • Flexible opportunities:
    • Potential for community-focused vs hybrid academic & community positions available
    • Option to rotate between community sites or practice at a single site. Both rural locations outside of Central Ohio as well as metropolitan locations available.
    • Potential to work directly with hematology/oncology trainees, if desired
  • Weekly patient and call schedules vary by location. Support and back up provided to ensure coverage across the network
  • Employed position, competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with other regional oncology positions
  • New grads and experienced providers encouraged to apply

 

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
  • Interest in full-spectrum hematology and oncology and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Collegial personality and ability to network and build relationships with other providers, support staff, community members
