St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist for a full-time Adult Inpatient role at Samaritan Hospital located in Troy, New York.

Samaritan Hospital offers a comprehensive program in behavioral health that includes inpatient services across three units, offering 63 beds for inpatient care with mental health, MICA, and geropsychiatry units. An interdisciplinary team provides specialized care to meet the medical, psychiatric, and social needs of the adult patient.

This opportunity is available for immediate placement and will join a team of counselors, therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and nurse practitioners in providing compassionate care to our patients.

Position Details:

  • The Psychiatrist will provide inpatient coverage for adult patients at the Samaritan Hospital campus and will work collaboratively with the Hospitalists, specialists, and community providers
  • Call Rotation: 1:6 weekends

Applicants should have the following:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Experience in an inpatient setting is preferred
  • DEA Licensure/NYS licensure required
  • Applicants should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented
  • New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply
