Job Description

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Medical Center located in Greenville, North Carolina are actively seeking board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeons to provide locums coverage for plastics, hand, and face surgery. Hospital  privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed level 1 trauma center

Coverage needed -  7a7a Friday thru Monday

As soon as credentialed ongoing (two weekends a month)

**Seeking providers who have experience with reconstructive trauma surgery more than elective/cosmetic experience**

The candidate should be actively involved in the practice of reconstructive plastic surgery, specifically relating to trauma of the upper and lower extremities, hand surgery and craniofacial trauma as well as experience in general plastic surgery.

They should have current privileges and be taking call at a hospital with level 2 or 1 trauma designation. 

Details:

  • Inpatient Only
  • Strong OR and specialist support (trauma, neurosurgery, general surgery, etc)
  • No ICU Duties
  • Will not respond to codes
  • EPIC EHR
  • Procedures Required:
    • Complex facial trauma reconstruction, both soft tissue and skeletal (full face upper, mid face and mandible, coverage of cranial defects), both adult and pediatric
    • Complex upper extremity trauma reconstruction including soft tissue (tendon, peripheral nerve, and vascular below the elbow, and burns) and skeletal, both adult and pediatric.
    • Complex lower extremity soft tissue reconstruction, adult and pediatric.
    • General plastic and reconstructive surgery, breast and body
    • Complex upper extremity trauma reconstruction and skeletal (distal radius, wrist and hand), both adult and pediatric
