Surgical Director, Melanoma Program / Professor, Associate or Assistant Professor

The Cleveland Clinic has a full time faculty position opening for the position of Surgical Director, Melanoma Program / Professor, Associate or Assistant Professor, Lerner College of Medicine. The successful candidate will be directing a vibrant and active surgical group for the care of melanoma and high risk skin cancer as well as other aspects of soft tissue oncology across Northeast Ohio. This will include skin cancer extirpative surgery, lymph node dissection and sentinel node biopsies.  The high risk skin cancer program works within a matrix of protocols studying clinical outcomes, clinical trials and basic science research.  These areas are all academic opportunities a successful candidate will be expected to explore. There is also opportunity for a translational physician scientists with collaboration with the Lerner Research Institute.

Candidates must be board certified in in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery or Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

This is a leadership position.  The successful candidate will be dynamic, forward-thinking and collaborative, as she/he will be expected to advance and grow the Melanoma Program in a multidisciplinary manner with colleagues from across numerous specialties. A focus on teaching and interest in active research programs are also desired.

The Cleveland Clinic Melanoma Program is comprised of a comprehensive multidisciplinary team, representative of the various subspecialists who diagnose and treat melanoma patients.  This team works together to advance Melanoma care for Cleveland Clinic patients, with complete commitment to and focus on highest quality outcomes, patient experience and innovations in care.
