About the Position

Job Overview:
The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), Departments of Pediatrics and Medicine are seeking a Division Director for the Division of Transitional Care Medicine. The Division Director is responsible for the overall direction and success of the division in all Departmental missions across pediatric and adult hospitals in the health system:

  • Clinical service, education, research, faculty development, administration, and community engagement
  • Division directors are expected to foster a collegiality, respect, and collaborative culture that recognizes diversity and inclusion as a driver of our institutional excellence

Division Overview:

  • Care of youth and adults with chronic conditions that originate in childhood (i.e., “Transitional Care Medicine”) including autism spectrum disorder, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), congenital heart disease, metabolic disorders, spina bifida, sickle cell disease and cystic fibrosis
  • Outpatient clinical care is provided at the Complex Care Center, an innovative interdisciplinary primary care setting
  • Inpatient care settings include adult inpatient medical care at Highland Hospital, intensive behavioral therapy at Golisano Children’s Hospital, and inpatient consultation at Strong Memorial Hospital
  • Educational activities of the Division include fellowship, residency, and student activities across disciplines. The division also has robust grant activities and evolving research infrastructure. 

Academic rank and competitive salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent
  • BC/BE in Internal Medicine (BC/BE in Pediatrics preferred)
  • Immediately eligible for licensure in New York
  • Strong leadership, academic and clinical experience
  • Experience working with the targeted “transitional” patient population (preferred)
  • Broad academic experience in research and education with preference given to candidates with an established track record of peer-reviewed research and extramural funding

Pay Range: $300,000 - $370,000 Annually

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.

Pay Range

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
