Endocrinologist – Thyroid Neoplasm Focus | Coastal Charleston, SC

Join a team that’s Changing What’s Possible – The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a full-time academic endocrine specialist in thyroid neoplasms to participate in clinical care, research and teaching in charming Charleston, SC. The chosen candidate will play a key role in educating future leaders in Endocrinologist, as well as broadening access to Endocrinology diagnosis and treatment for patients in Charleston and the surrounding areas.

 

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology
  • Academic orientation, interest in teaching, and passion for outreach
  • Candidates with 5 years experience in the field and research funding preferred

 

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases at MUSC has a distinguished history of clinical, translational, and basic research as well as a reputation of excellence in clinical care and education. Now under the new leadership of Dr. Marc-Andre Cornier, the Division is looking to expand on its clinical services and research in thyroid neoplasms.

 

About our opportunity:

  • Treat patients with a full spectrum of thyroid neoplasms, including evaluation and treatment of thyroid nodule disease using ultrasound and fine needle aspiration and the treatment of complex thyroid cancers
  • Involvement in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Join a collegial team of Endocrinologists, APPs, and support staff
  • Opportunities to collaborate with general surgeons, head & neck surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, advanced practice providers, and fellows
