Our physician-led group is currently seeking strong leaders in pediatrics to provide coverage at WakeMed’s three hospitals in Raleigh area.

CASEWORK AND SCHEDULE

WakeMed’s Children’s Hospital is voted as one of the top Pediatric Hospitals in the nation by Leapfrog for 2023. WakeMed’s Children’s Hospital has its own emergency department and is a Level IV Neonatal ICU. We currently have a 48 bed NICU, and 10 bed PICU. We perform anesthesia for some of the most unique children’s cases.
Truly a Master of Anesthesia role, this position includes a mix of high acuity pediatrics and some general adult cases. WakeMed employs a robust mix of pediatric surgeons with many subspecialties. Case mix includes pediatric surgery, peds ortho, peds spines, peds urology, peds ENT, peds pulm, peds GI. WakeMed is a top-performing chest wall reconstruction program and one of the highest-volume centers in the country for pectus repairs
The physician team covers all three WakeMed sites through a rotation schedule and call is rotated.
