Mercy Health General Thoracic Surgery Service Line is looking to hire 1 additional Thoracic surgeon to our Cincinnati, OH team. As the largest health system in Cincinnati, the Thoracic surgeons would provide their expertise at our Mercy Health hospitals in the city. We have state of the art OR's, Hybrid rooms and excellent support staff including dedicated CNPs, PAs, RNs and other surgical staff. The surgeons will perform all aspects of general Thoracic surgery and cover call on a 1:2 rotation. We are searching for skilled general thoracic surgeons to join our excellent medical team and perform esophagectomies, lung resections, chest wall resections, thymus surgeries, mediastinal surgeries, anti reflux procedures, para-esophageal hernia repairs, and manage perforated esophaguses, endoscopic procedures including esophageal stunting, dilations, TIF, and LINX and interventional as well as diagnostic bronchoscopies. The candidate must be well versed in lung screening, nodule board and thoracic tumor board discussions as well as up-to-date on minimally invasive approaches to the chest and foregut.
The candidate will join a practice with an experienced thoracic surgeon and work together as an integral and collegial part of the General Thoracic and Foregut Service Line (GTFS). The GTFS already has PAs, nurse navigators, and lung navigators who are excited to grow with the incoming candidate.
The GTFS will be part of the STS Database quality care for General Thoracic Surgery as well GO2 Foundation certified and works already with the American Foregut Society. GTFS will work with the ACOS accrediation INCP program as well.
