OBGYN Opportunity for Outpatient Clinic in MS

Highland Community Hospital, a 49 bed hospital in Picayune, Mississippi, is seeking an OBGYN to join our team of two full-time OBGYNs performing an average of 250 deliveries per year.

Highland Community Hospital is part of the Forrest Health system, offering the resources and support of 8 community hospitals, including Forrest General, a Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU.

Position Details:

• Typical schedule of Monday-Friday (4 Full Days, 1 Half Day)
• 10 days of call per month, with additional paid call available
• Outpatient practice at a hospital-owned rural health clinic, with traditional inpatient service duties Highland Community Hospital
• OBGYN on-call delivers/rounds on patients presenting via the ED, actively laboring in the L&D unit and postpartum on the L&D unit.  
• Nursery Level 1, No NICU
• State of the art, new L&D Unit, including 3 LDRP rooms, 8 postpartum/couplet care/OBGYN beds, 2 Nursery Beds
• Baby-Friendly designation from BFUSA
• 2 on-staff pediatricians to manage newborn care
• State of the art surgery department with block time available
• 20 average clinic patients per physician daily
• On-Staff Support & Consult Backup: Neurology, General Surgery, Cardiology
