Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Pathology Services and their East Florida Division is seeking a Pathology Medical Director to be based at a busy 423-bed hospital in a prime location within the heart of Miami, FL.Step into a leadership role that blends clinical excellence with strategic impact as a Pathology Medical Director within one of the leading healthcare companies in the nation. In this position, you’ll oversee high-quality diagnostic services, guide a team of skilled pathologists, and collaborate with hospital leadership to drive innovation and efficiency in laboratory operations. Qualified Candidates:
- AP/CP Board Certification required
- 2 years of hospital-based Medical Director experience preferred
- Recent experience performing frozen sections
- Recent general surgical pathology and clinical interpretations
- Florida licensed or FCVS in place preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- The practice consists of three pathologists
- Case volumes: 10,000 cases per year inclusive of surgicals, cytologies and bone marrows
- No gyn-cytology or autopsy coverage
- Oversight of the labs within the Free-standing Emergency Departments associated with the hospital
