Job Summary

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is recruiting for a Chief of Pulmonary Medicine for our hospital campus in Philadelphia, PA.   The Chief of Pulmonary Medicine will direct the clinical and operational activities of the department to include but not limited to clinical coverage, physician staffing, nurse practitioners, RNs.  The ideal candidate will bring a proven background in department leadership, program development, strategic planning, change management, and clinical leadership to the department.  The Chief will work to revise and advance the Pulmonary department to serve the patients of St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and the community we serve.  

 

Position Highlights:

  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of medical staff
  • Create a vision and direction for the department 
  • Provide leadership for operational issues

  • Be an active physician within the practice

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Unrestricted PA medical license
  • Graduate from an ACGME Pediatric Residency
  • Board Certified - Pediatrics
  • Graduate from an ACGME Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship    
  • 5+ years clinical experience in a pediatric hospitalist practice  
  • 3+ years experience in practice leadership & change management
