Internal Medicine Residency Associate Clinic Director

TidalHealth located in Salisbury, MD, is seeking an Internal Medicine Board-Certified Physician, to support the Outpatient Residency Continuity Clinic for our Internal Medicine Residency Program. They provide appropriate levels of supervision to promote patient safety and create an effective learning environment by acting as role models for future generations of physicians by demonstrating compassion, commitment to excellence, professionalism, and a dedication to life-long learning and quality improvement!

Responsibilities:

• Orient Residents to the policies, procedures, and standards of Faculty Member's private medical office or other setting outside the hospital Facility.
• Devote sufficient time to fulfill supervision and teaching requirements, and guide residents in the provision of safe and effective care to patients.  Maintain an educational environment conducive to education of residents, and model professionalism.
• Complete formal evaluation of resident educational and clinical performance at Faculty Member's private medical office or clinical setting in accordance with the requirements for accreditation and training, the curriculum, and program policies. Update annually both program and resident records through the ACGME’s Accreditation Data System.
• Ensure the implementation of fair policies, grievance procedures, and due process, as established by the GMEC, and in compliance with the ACGME Institutional Requirements.
• Prepare for and participate in the on-site program reviews.
• Abide by the graduate medical education program policies and procedures provided by the Program Director and or Designated Institutional Official, including policies governing resident duty hours.

Key Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Out-Patient clinical experience 
• A skilled clinician who prioritizes patient-centered care
• The understanding and ability to teach as measured by the success of the residents that they have trained
• Demonstration of professional behaviors that allow the Program Director to serve as a role model
• Demonstrate values and behaviors consistent with TidalHealth’s values and behavior standards
• The ability to manage a departmental budget and staff
