The Lifespan Recovery Center is a comprehensive, outpatient substance use recovery program and a division of the Lifespan Physician Group. The clinic is affiliated with the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and serves as a precepting site for residents, medical students, and fellows. Our multidisciplinary providers consist of physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and are supported by an outstanding administrative team. We embrace a comprehensive approach that includes medications for substance use disorders, cognitive-behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy/mindfulness-based interventions.

More about the job:

  • Work with a broad range of patients while embracing a harm-reduction model
  • You will draw from a range of treatments to address substance use disorders accompanied by other common mental health conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression
  • 32 hours/week of patient care with 8 hours/week of administrative time.
  • Position can be full or part time and combined with other services such as CL, general outpatient psychiatry, inpatient or integrated care
  • Potential for intensive outpatient program (IOP) work and program development
  • Opportunity to teach residents and fellows with an academic appointment at Brown University
  • PSLF eligible

  • Call is approximately 1:8 weeks
