The Division of Adult Psychiatry and Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Duke University School of Medicine invites applications for a clinical associate position, with a focus on health psychology. The ideal applicant will have experience in a broad range of behavioral health interventions. This fellow will be an active member of a large multidisciplinary team comprised of MDs, APPs, LCSWs, and doctoral and master’s level behavioral health providers (including some trainees).

Clinical responsibilities: The clinical associate’s role is to work within a multidisciplinary team and to identify and treat the psychological factors resulting from, or related to physical and mental health. Clinical responsibilities include the delivery of empirical interventions to patients in varying areas of care and subspecialities, such as pain management, weight management, disordered eating, sleep disorders, substance abuse, and/or patients in pre- or post-surgery (e.g., transplant, bariatric, spinal cord stimulator). 

Other responsibilities: This position will include participating in multidisciplinary team consultation meetings and departmental activities and meetings.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or related field from an APA-accredited doctoral program, completion of an APA accredited internship, and willing to seek provisional licensure in NC.  Experience in behavioral medicine/health psychology required; experience in telemedicine strongly preferred.
