Chief Medical Officer Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of medical operations, including clinical care, quality improvement, and patient safety
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care delivery and outcomes
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in medical services
• Provide guidance and support to medical staff
• Stay current with advancements in medical research, technology, and treatment modalities
• Oversee midlevel providers

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of primary care practices within a hospital, clinic and emergency room
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex medical data and make informed decisions
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations

Ashland Health Center (AHC) is a comprehensive, rural community health complex that has been providing care to the greater Ashland community for over 96 years. AHC has recently built a new facility in 2017. AHC is proud of our service to the community through our 25-bed critical access hospital (includes 17 Senior Living Unit) and rural health clinic. We are a not-for-profit hospital district that is governed by a board of directors elected by the community.
