Augusta Health is seeking a primary care teaching physician to serve as an assistant professor for our outpatient internal medicine residency clinic. We are seeking a board-certified internist or family physician with an interest in graduate medical education and a passion for primary care. This is a great opportunity to engage in an interdisciplinary clinic model while teaching the next generation of internal medicine physicians.
Responsibilities are outpatient only, no inpatient hospital responsibilities. Time will be evenly divided between direct clinical care and precepting residents in the IM continuity clinic. Direct clinical care can be either at the IM residency clinic, the Augusta Health Mobile clinic, or an Augusta Health community practice.
Teaching responsibilities will be multifaceted. This will include precepting and didactic teaching opportunities. The long term goal for this teaching is a competency based education for the residents to achieve the ACGME InternalMedicineMilestones.pdf.
