Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Division Chief Physician

CHI Health and Creighton University School of Medicine are seeking a Division Chief of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology in Omaha, NE. Creighton University Medical Center is home to the region's leading structural heart programs, as well as innovative cardiac and thoracic surgery programs. This is a unique leadership opportunity to develop a full service cardiothoracic anesthesiology division in collaboration with outstanding surgeons and proceduralists.

The Division Chief must:

  • Have proven administrative leadership ability and experience
  • Certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology, the National Board of Echocardiography in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography and completion of a cardiac anesthesiology fellowship 
  • Serve as a role model by espousing the traits of exemplary integrity and professionalism
  • Design integrated care protocols for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic cases
  • Assist in resident and medical student rotation development and teaching
  • Collaborate with serviceline leadership in areas or research, clinical protocols, and operational efficiencies to improve clinical outcomes
  • Promote excellence and innovation in patient care in accordance with the most recent scientific evidence and medical technology
