Atlantic Health System, one of the largest non-profit healthcare networks in New Jersey, is seeking a Medical Director of Gastrointestinal (GI) Medical Oncology in Summit, New Jersey. Our expansive network includes the flagship Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Overlook Medical Center, where this physician would be based. The medical team consists of a dynamic group of board-certified cancer specialists who have advanced medical training in treating cancer, and share a vision of providing patient-focused, multidisciplinary, superlative cancer care.
The Physician will work with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, colorectal surgeons, nurse navigators, research coordinators, physician extenders, and hospital/office/infusion staff to coordinate all medical aspects of GI cancer care at Overlook Medical Center. The goal is to expand the GI Program and lead in the development of centers of excellence in this field. This is a leadership position requiring vision, planning, and collaboration. The Physician will have the support of the Medical Director, Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at OMC and the System Medical and Executive Directors of the Oncology Service Line for Atlantic Health System. The position is critical to the success of the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center.
