North Alabama Shoals Hospital, located in Muscle Shoals, AL is seeking BE/BC Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join a busy, hospital-employed group of cardiovascular providers that is well known throughout the northern Alabama region  for their experience and expertise. The incoming physician will provide care at both Shoals Hospital and at our sister facility North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL. NAMC's 263-bed facility was opened in 2018 and is the most comprehensive medical facility in northwest Alabama. NAMC is a certified Chest Pain Center and is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center of Excellence.

Located 1 hour west of Huntsville International Airport, the Shoals is a beautiful riverfront community with excellent public and private school options, low crime rate, and affordable cost of living.  

Position Details:

• Practice locations in both Muscle Shoals and Florence, AL

• Single-Specialty employed practice of 9 physicians (4 interventional, 5 general)

• State-of-the-art facility w/ Vascular & Open Heart ORs, 4 Cath Labs, and Hybrid Suite

• Excellent APP Support from skilled CV PA-Cs

• Work in Inpatient/Outpatient Settings

• Home to IM & Psychiatry residency and Critical Care fellowship programs for those who enjoy teaching

• J-1, O-1, and H-1B waiver support via State Conrad 30, ARC, DRA, HHS

About the Hospital:  Shoals Hospital was founded in 1968 by a group of physicians dedicated to serving residents of Colbert County. Today, the 178-bed, general acute care facility boasts spacious, private rooms for all patients as well as a 24-hour emergency department; medical and oncology services; medical/surgical inpatient units; and intensive care and short-stay surgery units. Shoals Hospital also operates the region’s only in-patient acute rehabilitation facility, the J. W. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the area’s only psychiatric unit 30 beds dedicated to our senior adults. North Alabama Medical Center serves as a regional facility with more than 200 physicians on staff who represent more than 42 specialty areas of medicine. The 263-bed facility opened in 2018 offers the community's only open-heart surgery site, a complete line of women's and children's services and a complete line of medical and imaging services. As a Level III Trauma Center, NAMC serves as the primary referral center northwest Alabama, south-central Tennessee, and northeast Mississippi.
