The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible Assistant Professor position focusing on outpatient electrodiagnostic services. The successful candidate must be proficient in performing electromyography-nerve conduction studies. The candidate will also provide, on a rotational basis, night and weekend coverage in the UVA Encompass Health JV Rehabilitation Hospital.

The qualified candidate must have a MD or DO and be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The incumbent must be committed to a career in academic medicine and interested in combining clinical practice with resident education and/or research.

Our department has an efficient, professional, and detail-oriented staff of 17 expert faculty who treat a wide variety of rehabilitation needs. Our residency training program strives to provide the finest education possible for the next generation of rehabilitation doctors who will enter the workforce.
