University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking Internist

The Department of Medicine, General Medicine Division at The University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a board-certified (or eligible) Internist to provide direct patient care and teach in the academic primary care practice, Strong Internal Medicine .

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Strong Internal Medicine is an academic primary care practice, part of Strong Memorial Hospital and the University of Rochester Medical Center. Strong Memorial Hospital, a 886 bed hospital, provides tertiary and quaternary care for a diverse patient population
  • Strong Internal Medicine is a Patient-Centered Medical Home with integrated services, such as BH, Care Management, Dietary, Social Work and Pharmacy
  • Commitment to advance health equity, by providing comprehensive, accessible services that are critical to our patients. We incorporate social determinants of health and the biopsychosocial model into the practice of medicine
  • Vibrant, collegial division with 13 Faculty and 6 APPs
  • General Medicine faculty provide care to their own panel of patients and supervise residents in the care of their patients.  Faculty also have opportunities to teach in undergraduate medical education.
  • Faculty appointment at the University of Rochester’s School of Medicine and Dentistry
  • Sign-on/ Relocation/ Loan-repayment assistance negotiable
  • M.D., DO Degree or equivalent
  • Eligible for a New York State Medical License
  • Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Post-offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
  • Compliance with University and New York State health requirements

Pay Range

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
